Happy 4th of July to everyone across our largest unprotected border! I hope everyone is celebrating in everything that makes the United States of America the great country it is today!
All right, although it was a tough loss yesterday, I think it had more to do with the inexperience of the team than anything else. Chris Volstad has gone a long time without a win, but baseball is a funny game. Twenty games to be exact.
Everyone can talk about statistics, superstitions or win streaks, but at the end of the day it comes down to who hits the ball, who’s “seeing” the ball and pure luck.
Maybe it was the All Star selection that drove Chipper Jones to have a great night. Who knows.
It`s funny, a 10-3 drubbing can be a good thing. It`s an eye opener to what`s not working and I think the Cubs will bounce back tonight.
Don`t worry Chris, you`ll get your win.

I hope you had a fun and safe holiday, too, Mark. Wasn’t Canada Day just recent?

Yup, July 1. We went to Ottawa to see some relatives and there’s no bettter place than Parliment Hill for fireworks. We didn’t see the fireworks this year but we’ll go back again. 100 000 people in the downtown. Very cool!

That’s something the Cubs are good at, being drubbed and all I mean 😉 That Rizzo kid looks good though. I am impressed.
